The Faculty follows a long tradition of discipline-based course delivery in the health professions, offering courses in Exercise, Sports and Rehabilitation Science, Food Science and Technology, Health Promotion, Health, Safety and Environment, Health Sciences, Human Biology Preclinical, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Imaging Science, Midwifery, Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, Nursing, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work and Speech Pathology,and is well integrated with the professions in which our graduates practice.

Health Sciences staff are actively involved in clinical practice and leading professionals from the healthcare sector also contribute to teaching our courses. At the same time, our strong academic orientation keeps us at the forefront of evidence-based practice. Aligned with our teaching interests, the Faculty includes a large number of major research groups in the areas of ageing and dementia, biomedical and clinical sciences, Indigenous health, mental health, population health and health services research and prevention and management of chronic conditions.
